The Holstein House Podcast
Welcome to The Holstein House Podcast! I’m Robin, and this podcast is all about practical self-sufficiency for everyday life. Learn to save money, build a complete food pantry, master classic recipes, and manage a successful micro-homestead and bed & breakfast. My journey started as an Army wife and then a single mother of two sons on a tight budget, and now I use those decades of experience to help you achieve frugal living and food security. We deep dive into food preservation methods like home canning, freezing, and dehydrating. You’ll also follow the adventures on our small-scale homestead with container gardening, chickens, and ducks. I also share tips on earning income by hosting guests through my B&B business, robinholstein.com. Ready to build a better life? Subscribe and join our community!

Robin discusses her work history, moving from corn/ethanol additives in fuel to lithium mines and white robed, holy, hyper-conscientious environmentalists. New windshield, guests are coming, sprouts, and grow light challenges. Jack-booted banks and the U.N. And a challenge my church is facing. Check out the Fountain.fm app

This is a podcast that looks at society & culture issues affecting families in West Virginia, and the United State. From food preparation and storage, gardening, home repairs, current events, and more. We’ll go round the table and back in 60 minutes or less. There may never be explicit content, but just in case, we labeled it as such.

Welcome!
Welcome! I’m THE WEST VIRGINIA WOMAN Robin of robinholstein.com and Holstein House, where my guests get a good night’s sleep at a fair rate, plus breakfast. I've been keeping house since I was 17, balancing the budget and paying the bills as an Army wife on the salary of a PFC stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, and as a single mother of two back home in West Virginia. Things have changed since then, but I haven’t forgotten what it was like.

So let’s hang out and talk a while.
